TNC Books is a new publishing imprint whose books are commissioned and ‘edited’ by The New Cue’s co-founder Ted Kessler, the world-famous and much-admired author, editor, critic and loverman, who, in this fresh guise of book emperor, will be working alongside evil business mastermind, Austen Harris.
We are extremely excited to announce that the first book published by TNC will be by the Liverpudlian author and spoken word artist PJ Smith, better known as simply Roy. Titled Boomerang Process, it’s Roy’s second collection of compulsively intense, hilarious, terrifying, spectral and vital stories wired from the margins of Liverpool. Boomerang Process will be published on March 17th, available exclusively to pre-order NOW:
TNC Books stands for:
Memoir, fiction, youth culture, aged culture, music culture, street culture, very rarely rural culture: bittersweet symphonies of sex and violence, melody and silence…
Publishing books by writers with strong, authentic, urgent and recognisable voices who want to erase the distance between themselves and the reader that is normally filled by publishers housed in fancy offices. No yuppies, no conveyor belt editing nor pen-sucking literary A&R. Publishing books that only TNC will publish before everyone decides they wished they’d published them first. Working with people who trust us to do right by them, because we will; 50/50 split, no advances.
